Air Security Declaration
Security Declarations are used to establish, identify, and track the cleared status of air cargo as it moves through the supply chain. Security Declarations are the evidence that cargo is cleared for uplift.
Security Declarations must be issued for each cleared consignment of air cargo. Depending on how you consolidate or ship your cargo, you may issue the declaration for each individual piece, pallet or air freight container. The Security Declaration for each consignment must accompany that consignment as it moves through the supply chain. It is important that your freight forwarder is aware of this, as they may need to transmit your declaration to other regulated businesses in the supply chain or to the cargo terminal operator at the airport.
